What is wrong with this picture?

I got up late this morning, didn't have time for a shower, did damage control on my hair, and dressed in the dark so I wouldn't wake up my husband then off to work I went without taking 2 extra seconds to check the mirror. I worked all day, then went to dinner with my husband and my son, and then to an appointment to have my hair colored and cut. When I was walking out of the salon I looked down to step off the curb...and this is what I saw....

I shit you not!! I have walked around all freaking day with two different fucking shoes!! I am now wondering if anyone at work noticed. And how could they not notice? I mean really! Women notice other women's shoes. And why didn't anyone say anything to me? Hmmm? That'll teach me to over-sleep and get dressed in the dark half asleep. I cannot believe I did that!!

I threatened my husband with his life if he ever told anyone I did this. His correct response was "Did what?" Good husband.

And you know I can only share this with you because you are all so supportive and I know you would never laugh at me...right?!? You are my friends and you would never do that..right? Are you laughing? ok...really...you can stop laughing now...it's really not that funny. It could have happened to anyone. I'm sure I'm not the first. So who else has done this? No one? Really? hmmmm

Just one more thing to add to the growing list of 'Things that only happen to me.

  5. I was laughing before I read your story! I am a shoe whore and I notice shoes on women all the time. I know I would have told you if I had seen you though....you know like when you have something in your teeth.

  6. I completely understand Amey! Must have been something about the day. I work close to home and go home for lunch. My shoes were not the most comfortable so I put on my house shoes for lunch. Well I ended up wearing them back to work... OOPS! I hid in my office so that my boss didn't notice! Hope that makes you know you aren't alone.

  9. I've done that so many times before. I have a couple of pairs of sandals that I have in brown, black and navy and quite frequently, I would wear the wrong colors. I feel like such a dork when that happens!

  11. lolol! Here, I'll tell you a secret! I went to the movies the other day and headed straight into the mens bathroom. No one was in there and I didn't see the urinals. When I came out there was a man peeing! I was so flippin embarrased!

  13. Seriously - I love you! I kid you not - my algebra teacher did the same thing. One navy shoe, one black - imagine doing this in front of a bunch of nasty teenagers? At least the adults in your life laughed behind your back - if they even noticed. We laughed our asses off in front of her! HA - love this - truly - and love you!

  15. Oh, that's fantastic. LOL.

Re: your comment on my blog about the CIB - my surgeon did give me 5 or 6 options for the protein shake - this was the only one that wasn't premade. I've never met a premade shake I liked...but maybe I will try the freezer trick with the CIB!

    Nice to "meet" you!
